Starting Friday, Aug. 28, we’re excited to introduce a tiered-rating program for all Medicare supplement plans in 18 states*. This program strengthens our commitment to providing profitable and competitive solutions for your Medicare-age clients and can help you reach those who may have previously been denied coverage.
*States in the tiered-rating program: Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Delaware, Georgia, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Mississippi, Nebraska, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, and Wisconsin.
How it works
- Submit business using the e-App.
- If our underwriting team determines the application should be tier rated, the client will receive an initial email with a tiered-rating offer including the new premium amount. Producers will receive a similar email that also includes information about the client’s offer.
- The client has 21 days to accept the offer. They’ll receive a series of reminders, with similar versions sent to producers, until they accept or decline the offer or it expires.
With tiered rating available ahead of annual enrollment, you have time to get comfortable with the process so you’re ready to help more clients get coverage this fall.
