IMPORTANT! ManhattanLife is making an update to how policy documents are delivered to new policyholders — one designed to improve speed, consistency, and engagement.

What’s changing?
Going forward, email will be the default method of delivery, but rather than sending policy documents as attachments, policyholders will receive an email with instructions to access their documents through the Policyholder Portal. Printed policies will still be mailed upon request.

How it works:

  • Once a policy is issued, the policyholder receives an email guiding them to the Policyholder Portal
  • From the portal, they can securely view and download their policy documents
  • This approach delivers faster access while introducing policyholders to the full value of the portal
  • If the policy has an ID card, the ID card will be mailed
  • If you prefer to receive a printed copy directly, we will mail upon request

Why this matters:

  • Faster and more reliable document access
  • A consistent, secure delivery experience
  • Increased policyholder familiarity with the Policyholder Portal and its features
  • Fewer delays associated with mailed documents

What stays the same for agents:

You will continue to have full access to policy prints through the Agent Resource Center. If a policyholder needs assistance, you can easily retrieve and support them as you do today.

This update helps modernize the delivery experience while keeping flexibility and agent support fully intact.
